This is a sho bag carefully crafted from a genuine silk Saga Nishijin fukuro obi (a type of Japanese sash).
The pillow is made from the same fabric, giving it a very luxurious feel. This pattern is the last of its kind.

The opening is reinforced with bar tacks to prevent fraying.

The fabric is 900 Saga Nishijin, a golden material with a Maki-e (lacquer art) pattern of Michinaga Kachō (a floral and bird motif).

This pattern, inspired by Tsugigami (layered paper) popular among Heian period aristocrats, features compositions drawn with curves and straight lines.

This is a masterpiece that showcases Japan's unique classical traditional beauty and the artisan's skill, tailored into a bag.
