This is an elaborate piece by Kosodeya, featuring their unique vertical shibori technique with hand embroidery scattered across the strips.
The beige vertical shibori creates a beautiful silhouette.
Hand embroidery is applied to the areas where the shibori strips have been dyed out.

Kosodeya has a 230-year history and is committed to integrated production from thread to shibori, rokketsu (wax-resist dyeing), and embroidery.
Their products include kimonos, obi sashes, and shawls.
This is one of the pieces I created after having the opportunity to participate directly.
I am gradually decluttering my extensive kimono collection.
I believe it was made about 20 years ago for around 350,000 yen, close to the original cost.
I think I used it about twice.
The obi sash made to match at that time has been photographed for this listing.
The obi sash is not included in the price.
