Ouchijuku Backpack - Antique Tool - Nostalgia, Serenity, Healing Interior

This is a shōiko (a traditional Japanese backpack frame) that I encountered about 10 years ago during a trip to Ouchi-juku. It is a truly precious cultural heritage, imbued with the wabi-sabi aesthetic that evokes memories of agricultural work from that era. Since acquiring it, I have utilized it as an item to create an antique atmosphere in my gallery. However, as the gallery closed last year, I have decided to part with it. As you can see in the photos, there are some areas where the item is quite damaged, but this only adds to its antique charm and evokes a sense of nostalgia.

There are no particular issues with carrying or displaying it. I believe this is an excellent piece for those who wish to create an antique atmosphere in their shop or enjoy a retro feel as interior decor.
