Hand Carved Wood Moai Eyeglass Holder | Easter Island Statue MCM Desk Art

Very nice vintage condition… This is a hand-carved solid wood eyeglass holder shaped like a stylized Moai head from Easter Island, featuring a rich natural grain and a sturdy square base. It is designed to wear your spectacles, keeping them safe and easy to find while serving as a striking piece of sculptural desk art. These carvings are inspired by the monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people on Easter Island, which have fascinated collectors for decades as symbols of mystery and ancient craftsmanship. This particular piece represents the mid-to-late 20th-century trend of incorporating global indigenous art styles into functional home office accessories.
