They are factory Wash Out dyed, as noted on the inner tag. This gives them a broken in, soft relaxed look and feel. The dying process that they use does give them slight color variations, slight seam fading etc, in order to give them a worn, vintage look. This is normal and how they are made to appear. They have also been pre-washed by the factory so they don't shrink.  Care note per manufacturer tag: Wash inside out separately with mild detergent. Shading and wrinkling variations are an intentional part of the design.
