This is a warm-up mute from BEST BRASS. It can be used with trombones and flugelhorns. I used it with my tenor bass and alto trombones. I used to keep one mute in each instrument case for practice, but I'm decluttering my main instruments, so I'm selling these mutes as part of that process.
There is a slight dent. Also, the sponge is starting to crack. However, this did not cause it to fall out during practice.

Looking at this link, it seems like it might be possible to replace the sponge. Please contact them if necessary.
Personally, I was satisfied with both the sound dampening and the playing feel. I live in an apartment, and I've never received noise complaints from my neighbors, so I believe it functions properly.
