where it connects with the Hokuriku Main Line.
Boarding the upbound train 424D from Itoigawa Station,
aiming for the terminal station, Minami-Otari Station.
Exchanging trains at Nechi Station,
it runs peacefully along the scenic Himekawa River.
The diesel engine roars,
and the KiHa 52 series diesel multiple unit runs with its whistle blowing.
After arriving at Minami-Otari Station,
board the downbound train 474D this time
and return to Itoigawa Station.
The train that arrived at the station
is then transferred to the adjacent Itoigawa Driving Center
for rest.
