The shaft length can be adjusted in two stages. We believe that extending the shaft will make it easier to use when digging snow caves, etc.
We brought this shovel on 2-3 backcountry ski trips, but it has never been actually used in the field. There are some scuff marks from being carried in a backpack and from detaching the shaft from the blade for storage.
Because I am small and have a small backpack, this shovel doesn't fit well, so I would like to sell it.
