Backun RC A Clarinet Barrel 65mm
This is a 65mm barrel for a Buffet Crampon A clarinet.
This particular barrel does not have a stamp because older instruments, including their barrels and bells, did not have stamps.
This is a barrel from the era when the RC was Buffet Crampon's top model. The 65mm is the genuine size for an A clarinet.
Of course, there is no problem using it with a B♭ clarinet.
I'm not sure what the difference is, but when I play my R13 or Yamaha B♭ clarinet with this barrel, I feel like the tone becomes softer. The same applies when playing my RC.
There is no issue with using a Buffet Crampon barrel on a Yamaha or Selmer instrument body if the playing feel and tone are improved.
The genuine size for a B♭ clarinet is 66mm, so this barrel will result in a slightly lower pitch. You won't have to worry about pitch issues even in winter when you don't have time to warm up your instrument before joining an ensemble.
In my ensemble, we tune the A to exactly 442Hz even in mid-winter, so we use shorter than standard barrels.
I've set the price low, so why not give it a try?
Thank you for looking.
