Tokushima Prefecture is the home of sukumo, the indigo dye material used for indigo dyeing. The tradition continues to this day, and sukumo made in Tokushima is called Awa Indigo. Natural ash fermentation vat dyeing is a traditional technique that has been used since the Edo period. The deep purple color of futai indigo, based on the rich blue of natural Awa indigo, is a color that has been loved since ancient times and is even mentioned in The Pillow Book.

This is a beautiful, high-quality shirt dyed with Awa indigo, created by the aforementioned master craftsman Akihito Sato through the natural ash fermentation vat dyeing process. It appears to be a custom-made item, with a list price of 50,000 yen. The size is M.

It has been carefully stored for a long time, but the owner no longer fits the size. Therefore, we decided to offer it to someone who appreciates its value.

There are some minor stains.
Only the bottom button is missing.
