Included Albums:

1. The J. Geils Band (1970)
At the time of their debut, J. Geils Band was described as the most soulful white rock band ever. This debut album, based on R&B and blues, features funky and gritty performances that differ significantly from their later style, but it's the best way to experience their robust and wild sound.

2. The Morning After (1971)
Their second album, released in 1972. A hard and emotional development in the 70s style of blues rock. Their vitality, technique, and passion are impressive. It's a prime example of American strength expressed powerfully and coolly. The sound has a good color to it.

3. Live Full House (1972)
They were still a B-list band back then. The Giles Band around this time. A live recording from Detroit in 1972. I remember how mid-80s neo-British beat bands took this album's cheapness and heat as their model. Peter Wolf's nasal voice was still youthful.

4. Bloodshot (1973)
The reggae-like Give It to Me was their first hit single. This is their fourth album, which includes that song. The jams on House Party and Southside Shuffle at the beginning are highlights, but the album as a whole might be a bit subdued.

5. Ladies Invited (1973)
Blues rock band J. Geils' fifth album. Having achieved success in the US, they shifted their musical direction to emphasize melody, maintaining their funky, soulful sound while adding hit potential. This album allows you to enjoy a polished roughness.
