This is a amazing turquoise buckle designed by Navajo Native American Artist Dan Oliver. He signed his full name on the back of the buckle. It's made out of sterling silver. It features one beautiful turquoise stone. The buckle measures 2 3/8 tall x 2 7/8 across. The turquoise stone measures 1 1/8 tall x 1 across. It weighs a total of 80.38 grams. As a young boy, Dan would watch his father doing silver work, so he learned the art of making jewelry from him. Lloyd Oliver was a silversmith at Shades of the West 40 years ago. He told them his son also was a silversmith so Dan became resident silversmith of Shades of the West. Dan makes both contemporary and traditional silverwork. He uses pottery and rug designs in his traditional work.
