Description
Chinese Red Mun Shou Famille Rose Longevity 8 Plates with floral accents - Set of 3. The phrase 萬壽無疆 (wàn shòu wú jiāng) featured in the four medallions translates to Boundless Longevity or Everlasting Long Life, a pattern originating during the Kangxi Period of the Qing Dynasty (1661-1722) in China and becoming an everyday tableware design after the fall of the dynasty. Scrolled Greek key design around the rim. The 3 plates would have been manufactured at Jingdezhen's factory 10 (based on the markings on the bottom of the plates), one of the most renowned porcelain factories in China, for export between the 1960s - 1980s. Great pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Some wear and scratches from prior use. Each plate measures approximately 8 in diameter.
