Fownes black leather and soft knit lined gloves. Size 8. NWT and still in the original Ivey,s store box. In case you’re too young to remember, Ivey’s was an upscale anchor store in the malls from about 1970 - 1990. Their quality was much like Macy’s. Fownes was one of the world’s oldest maker of fine leather gloves. These gloves are soft and supple. According to the bar code, these gloves probably date from the mid 1980’s. They would have retailed for about $ 80 in today’s dollars. My home is clean, pet free, smoke free, and I rarely cook.
