Description
Marked on the bridge HARDY 1 [crossbars] 2, indicating they are 12K GOLD FILLED. They were manufactured by F.A. Hardy & Co., a major optical manufacturer active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These gold filled glasses feature rimless oval shaped glass lenses, a solid nose bridge, and flexible wire temples to hook behind the ear. Estimated to be from the early 1900s. One of the temples (earpiece) is missing. Frames are solid. Glass is in perfect condition Original hard velvet-lined case is in great condition. Could be used for parts, display purposes, or as a repair project.
