Vintage Westmoreland Old Quilt White Milk Glass Covered Butter Dish
Westmoreland
Add a classic touch of mid-century farmhouse style to your store with this beautiful vintage white milk glass covered butter dish. Manufactured by the historic Westmoreland Glass Company in Grapeville, Pennsylvania, this highly collectible kitchenware piece features the sought-after Old Quilt pattern, produced primarily during the 1950s. The dense rectangular dome lid and underplate showcase a beautiful embossed motif resembling rows of classic quilted fabric panes, accented with delicate beaded trim details. This heavy-weight opaque milk glass server features an elongated underplate measuring approximately 7.5 inches long with two decorative tab handles molded directly into the short ends. The lid sits snugly inside a raised inner rim gallery designed to securely hold a standard 1/4 pound stick of butter. The bottom of the glass base reveals a smooth, fire-polished surface texture. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or flea bites along the internal galleries. The white milk glass is uniform, opaque, and highly glossy with zero discoloration or clouding. A wonderful addition for retro kitchen styling, cottagecore tablescapes, or avid milk glass collectors.
