Rare Vintage TUMI Alpha Small Gym Duffel Travel Bag 18x9x8 Black Ballistic Nylon

Up for sale is an absolute tank of a travel bag: a genuine, late-1990s vintage Tumi Small Satchel Duffel Bag built during the brand's legendary bulletproof era. Made in an era when Tumi gear was engineered to last a lifetime, this bag features their signature ultra-dense, military-grade FXT Ballistic Nylon which offers unmatched abrasion and water resistance. This is the highly coveted, versatile Small footprint. It is the ultimate size for a premium gym bag, an effortless overnight weekender, or a daily commuter bag. Because it is soft-sided, it easily crushes down to fit under an airline seat as a personal item or right into a crowded overhead bin. Approximate Dimensions (Relaxed/Flat) Length: 18 inches Width/Depth: 9 inches Height: 8 inches (Note: Because this bag is soft-sided and flexible, it expands beautifully when fully packed to hold several days' worth of gear). Condition Note This bag is in excellent vintage condition. It shows light, honest signs of character from travel (minor surface dust and light finish wear on the metal zipper tracks/hardware clips), but has absolutely no rips, tears, holes, or structural compromises. The ballistic nylon is incredibly clean, the leather handle wrap is solid, and all zippers pull smoothly. Pre-1999 Era Note: This classic vintage piece beautifully pre-dates the introduction of the rigid Tumi Tracer metal plates, letting the soft-sided nylon drape naturally without rigid metal edges wearing through the fabric.
