Ernest Alexander Varick gray twill canvas briefcase, dark brown leather

From New York brand, Ernest Alexander (now gone?), this is an early carryall bag from their collection, the Varick briefcase. Made from a heavy waxed gray twill canvas body, with a heavy leather base, handles and strap (dark brown-black). Grey cotton lining with internal zipper pocket as well as 2 slip pockets. Outer front has a slip pocket with leather snap fasteners. Taken on a number of trips and some patina developing on the leather, but excellent condition. Dimensions at base: 17 x 6, narrows to top zipper. 13.5 high. Sized a bit larger than a briefcase, but smaller than a duffel--nice everyday carry.
