Signed Studio Craft Ikebana Vase Wood Flower Arranger Kenzan Frog MCM
Vintage
A beautiful fusion of functional art and sculptural design. This signed studio-crafted ikebana flower arranger features a richly toned hardwood base with striking burgundy, plum, and reddish-purple grain that feels equally at home in Japandi, Wabi Sabi, Mid-Century Modern, Danish Modern, and contemporary interiors. Designed for traditional Japanese flower arranging, it includes both the original removable metal water reservoir and matching kenzan flower frog. Together, the metal components weigh approximately 10 ounces and account for more than half of the piece's total weight, providing exceptional stability for taller, more sculptural arrangements. The substantial construction allows branches, blooms, foliage, and single-stem arrangements to be displayed with confidence without becoming top-heavy. The underside retains a faint incised maker's mark or signature that appears to resemble a Japanese character. Combined with the quality materials, impressive weight, and thoughtful engineering, the piece has the feel of a handcrafted studio work rather than mass-produced décor. A striking display object even when not in use and a wonderful addition to collections of studio craft, Japanese design, modernist décor, and functional art. Condition: Very good vintage condition without notable falws. Original removable metal liner and kenzan are included; flowers are not. Faint maker's mark present on underside. Please review photos carefully for complete condition details. Measurem
