This product uses rare cordovan (horse hindquarter leather), also known as the King of Leather. The water dyeing method, performed by skilled artisans, creates a deep color and beautiful luster.
The traditional nikumori technique, which adds roundness and three-dimensionality to the leather, gives this simple design a rich expression and a luxurious feel.

It was used to store fountain pens.

There are small scratches and faint stains on the inside (please check the photos). I believe it will develop a nice patina with continued use.
