Nagamasa Ken-gata Nib, Sailor-type Fountain Pen, Hand-ground, Stationery, Writing Instruments
This listing is for one Naginata-Togi style nib only. *Silver
The ink flow has been adjusted to be slightly drier to allow for adjustments in line width and ink flow based on writing pressure. (This is because it makes it easier to accurately express the emotions of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure inherent in Japanese characters. If the ink is too wet, the characters can become blurred and appear sloppy.)
The line width varies from Japanese F to FM with writing pressure. This is not with extreme pressure changes, of course.
With almost no pressure, the line width will be finer than a Japanese F.
The genuine Sailor Pen Naginata-Togi model costs over 50,000 yen at retail, so we highly recommend this to those who want to try a Naginata-Togi but find the price prohibitive.
You will be able to fully enjoy the benefits of the Naginata-Togi, which is specialized for Japanese characters and different from regular fountain pens.
It also has the ease of writing like a pencil. We highly recommend a fountain pen equipped with this Naginata-Togi style nib to those whose written words will be seen by others, or those who want to convey the appeal of fountain pens to someone else.
By the way, when using this Naginata-Togi style nib, we recommend using CROSS Blue ink. Of course, other brands of ink will work without issue, but CROSS ink has high viscosity, providing a smooth writing experience and minimal ink bleed on paper, making it easy to fine-tune writing pressure. In other words, it makes it easy to add expression to your characters, resulting in writing that looks as if it were done with a brush and ink.
*Material: Steel
*This listing is for the nib only.
*The size is almost the same as a Pilot 15 nib and is compatible with PenBBS and other similar pens.
*Although adjusted, it takes about a month for the nib to become familiar with the user's hand.
*Confirmed to fit Jinhao pen bodies.
*Due to popular demand, this listing will end once the stock is sold out.
