[Textile Design: Maija Isola] Lokki: Seagull Designer Maija Isola created this piece while gazing at the curtains hanging by her window. When the sparkling sunlight streamed through the window and wavy shadows appeared on the gently folded curtain fabric, she was inspired to draw Lokki, thinking, If I draw a wavy pattern on the fabric, it will be a textile with a sense of depth and beauty even when cut small.

A guest towel with the Lokki pattern. The yellow and white color combination creates a cheerful mood. The edges are accented with a switch between blue and red. A loop is attached to the center of the back for convenient hanging on a hook. The comfortable feel of 100% cotton material is also a highlight.
