This popular product is selected using a light sensor for your peace of mind.
Regarding sugar content:
According to JA (Japan Agricultural Cooperatives) standards:
Kiwami (Supreme): Beautiful shape, 18 degrees Brix or higher
Tokuhide (Extra Superior): Beautiful shape, slightly less than Kiwami, 16 degrees Brix or higher
Hide (Superior): Beautiful shape, slightly less than Tokuhide, 14 degrees Brix or higher
Yuu (Excellent): Shape is less refined than Hide, 13 degrees Brix or higher
A: Shape and appearance are less refined, 12 degrees Brix or higher
In Ibaraki Prefecture, only melons shipped to JA are selected with a light sensor; other melons are not.
Shipping cooperatives do not have light sensors and therefore cannot measure sugar content, so we do not stock those melons.
Please purchase with confidence.
