Narumi Caress Rose Azure Teacup and Saucer, 1 set
24.75 $
Description
Narumi Calyx Tea Cup and Saucer Set.
A very popular tea cup. This cup is packed with techniques that are not suitable for mass production.
?? The gold trim on the rim of the cup and the edge of the saucer has a raised texture, creating beautiful light and shadow with the gold color.
The cute small dots underneath are turquoise.
This is called gyoku and is a very labor-intensive technique. (Photos 5 and 7)
?? Roses are a symbol of splendor, but the color of the leaves and stems are subdued and do not overpower. Perhaps the reason for this cup's popularity is that the roses do not overwhelm the beauty of the cup.
