【Excellent Condition】Traditional Crafts Ohori Soma Ware Tea Ceremony Set Teapot & 5 Teacups Gold Leaf Running Horse

Thank you for viewing.

This is a tea ceremony set (1 teapot, 5 teacups) of traditional craft, Ohori Soma Ware.

It features the beautiful ao-hibi (blue crackle glaze), a hallmark of Ohori Soma Ware, with an elegant deep blue gradation. The bottom of each teacup is delicately adorned with a gold-leaf depiction of the auspicious hashiri-koma (running horse, also known as hidari-uma or horse facing left).

The spout of the teapot still has its original plastic protective cap, and the set is in exceptionally beautiful condition with no signs of use.

??【Important Note Regarding the Wooden Box】
The included wooden box is inscribed with Seishu-saku (Made by Seishu), but the underside of the tea set itself bears a different kiln mark from Soma Ware (please refer to the images). It is believed that the previous owner stored this set in a different box.
While the wooden box fits the set perfectly, please purchase only if you understand that this is a awase-bako (a box containing items not made by the inscribed artist).
