I purchased this in September of this year and used it for about half a month to help maintain my dog's posture while eating.
My dog is a Toy Poodle and weighed 1.5kg when I used it.
While this is just my personal assessment, I don't see any noticeable damage.

The actual item is disassembled, so it is not shown, but please let me know if you need it.
The parts that come into contact with the body have been home-cleaned.
