2000s Yanase Watch Postmodern
A desk clock created by Yanase in the 2000s.
The monochrome color scheme and the linearly organized graphics give a quiet and modern impression. On the other hand, the frame with a thickened outer circumference and the structure that gives a sense of depth add a moderate playfulness to the form.
The clock face is configured so that the dial and pendulum overlap through the glass. This layering makes the pendulum appear to float in mid-air, and its swinging motion blends naturally into the neat design as a subtle rhythm.
While it has a very orderly appearance when viewed from the front, its expression changes slightly when viewed from different angles, revealing the overlapping structure.
This is dead stock.
