This is a suiseki (viewing stone) from Wakasa Mikura stone. Wakasa Mikura stone originates from the rugged mountainous regions of the Mikura area in Wakasa Town, Yazu District, Tottori Prefecture. Wakasa Mikura stones are rarely circulated and difficult to obtain. Furthermore, this is an excellent stone with a very deep and flavorful mugwort color, aged over many years of cultivation.
