These are naturally harvested and dried, so you can put them directly into your aquarium. They will help shift the water quality towards soft, slightly acidic water, making them ideal for breeding tanks of Characins, Rasboras, Bettas, Apistogrammas, and various shrimp that prefer this water condition. Microorganisms tend to grow around the seeds, so adding them to a shrimp tank can improve the survival rate of baby shrimp. The seeds are rich in tannins, which are said to have antiseptic properties, help prevent diseases, and promote spawning. The tannins may slightly tint the water brown, creating a blackwater effect that can help calm fish and shrimp.
Ideal for preventing mold on killifish eggs and for raising fry.
