Mutant-born nameless pomegranate. Plant the seeds. 5 seedlings included. Softball-sized red pomegranates.

A nameless pomegranate born from a mutation. Large, red pomegranate, about the size of a softball. The taste is delicious, perhaps a little sweeter than a regular pomegranate.
This is my personal opinion, but I feel this way among the several varieties.
Pomegranates this large are sometimes sold for around 5,000 yen.
It has been 1 year since I planted seeds from the parent tree at home.
It's so satisfying to eat that it overturns the image of pomegranates being full of seeds.
When eaten whole, the sweetness is hard to measure, but compared to others, it is sweet with less sourness or bitterness. It can be cultivated anywhere in Japan except in extremely cold regions.
Pomegranates are enjoyable from the blooming of their flowers to the ripening of their fruit. Besides eating them fresh, they make delicious red fruit wine. Juice is also good.
