This set was used for about two weeks during a period of immobility due to a ligament tear. I regretted not buying it sooner because it made things so much more comfortable.
The rubber covers up to the thigh and prevents water from getting in at all, so bathing is no problem!
The shoe was used indoors, so I believe it is still clean.
