Fresh Garden Herbs - Common Thyme, 1 Pot Seedling

Organic, pesticide-free common thyme seedlings (with roots and soil) grown by an individual as a hobby. The seedlings, approximately 5-6cm in diameter, will be lightly washed, have minimal new soil added for moisture, and shipped via Fourth Class Mail (Fourth Class Mail for Plants and Seeds) from Sunday to Thursday.

Since post offices are closed on weekends and holidays, orders placed on Friday will be held at the post office over the weekend, with shipping resuming on Monday or the next business day.

Please note that Fourth Class Mail for Plants and Seeds does not include tracking or insurance. If you are concerned about the plant's condition after one week from your order date, we recommend contacting your local post office directly, purchasing from regions where delivery is possible within 1-3 days, or avoiding shipping during long holidays or periods of bad weather. (If you wish to use express or registered mail, please comment to arrange for an additional fee.)

Immediately after shipping is confirmed at the post office counter, we will provide you with the receipt number and estimated arrival date.

Thyme is commonly used for culinary purposes, such as in thyme tea, meat dishes, and marinades. Dried leaves can also be used for insect repellent and sachets. Historically, it has been used for air purification and to prevent the spread of epidemics, and is said to be effective for colds, influenza, and bronchitis when consumed as tea.

Thyme is an evergreen shrub native to Europe and Asia, belonging to the mint family. When planted outdoors, it can spread and grow into ground cover or a small shrub. It has strong antiseptic and disinfectant properties, and was historically planted in public places like churches in Europe to prevent the spread of disease.

Harvesting can be done anytime while the leaves are present. Fresh leaves can be picked as needed. Once the plant grows larger, it is recommended to harvest branches and grow it in a sunny, dry location.
