This is a ceramic incense burner with underglaze blue decoration.
It features a square shape with a lid, and a Sansui Chikurin-zu (landscape with bamboo forest) or Chinoiserie style design depicting bamboo forests and figures.
Use: As an incense burner for burning incense, or as an incense holder.
Material: Made of porcelain or ceramic, using the Sometsuke (underglaze blue) technique, where patterns are drawn with blue dye on a white background.
Features: A traditional design depicting bamboo, landscape paintings, and Chinese-style figures.
It has a square, cylindrical body with a lid (fire cover) that has ventilation holes.
It has been stored in the storehouse of my parents' home for a long time.
I believe it is several decades old.
It was displayed in a Japanese-style room in the past, and incense was occasionally burned in it.
It had a pleasant aroma suitable for a Japanese-style room.
Its small size allows it to be placed in small spaces.
As it is an antique item, there are some minor stains, but I would appreciate your consideration if you find charm in its age. m(_ _)m.
- Design: Blue and white porcelain incense burner with figures and bamboo pattern
- Shape: Square, with lid
- Material: Ceramic
