◇◇We believe Kinryouhen is effective for capturing Japanese honeybees.
However, with Kinryouhen alone, scout bees may come, but they often don't settle permanently.
This is our unique, improved attractant liquid, which has a proven track record for those without Kinryouhen, or for capturing swarms outside of their blooming season.

In addition to the usual spring swarms, we've had successful natural settlements with just the attractant liquid for late July swarms and August escaped colonies in the past.

It includes examples for preparing the waiting box (removing odor), choosing the location and method for setting up the waiting box, and how to apply the attractant liquid.

◇While having multiple waiting boxes is beneficial, sometimes moving the box to a different location can lead to immediate captures.
※Choosing the right location is important.

◇We set up multiple waiting boxes every year, and have successfully captured bees in locations without Kinryouhen (photo 14) and with only a swarm trap board (photo 17).

◇This is the ultimate set effective for capturing Japanese honeybee swarms.

◇Attractant Liquid: Japanese honeybees prefer used dwellings, so applying it to the waiting box creates a more suitable environment.

Based on our experience, it's particularly effective to thoroughly soak the entrance and the inside ceiling of the hive.

Also, instead of applying it just once beforehand, apply it multiple times without making it sticky. During swarm season, it's best to apply it in the morning.

※The trick is to apply it to the outside of the waiting box every 2-3 days. The scent will attract scout bees.

◇Beeswax: Melting it onto the ceiling with a burner or similar tool is effective.

While we cannot guarantee captures, if Japanese honeybees are present in your area, the probability of capturing them is very high.
