【34mm♂】Lindecoff Stag Beetle Specimen - Babao Golden Stag Beetle - Bronze Stag Beetle

Scientific Name: Pholidotus lindei

Resembles Fuki Kuwagata, but the male's body is uniformly covered in white scales, the head is slightly shorter, the mandibles are slightly elongated and curve with a slight angle about 1/3 from the base, the tips are more sharply angled, and protrude long and sharp inwards. Rare in the wild.

Medium-sized stag beetle (males typically 30-35 mm). Males have highly developed mandibles; while the mandibles in this genus are curved, they lack large teeth. The pronotum is significantly wider than the rest of the body, with sides curving outwards. The entire body is more or less covered in scales. Males of this species tend to be slightly larger and have longer mandibles compared to other species in the same genus.

Distribution
This species is distributed in a relatively limited area of the Atlantic coast of southern Brazil (Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio de Janeiro states).
