I'm not an expert, but I believe this is likely a broad-tailed swallowtail butterfly. It appears to have died during molting, with one wing caught inside the exuvia.
Would be great for insect specimen collections or similar uses.
A few of the exuvia's legs are missing their tips.
As an amateur, I'm unsure about proper preservation methods. It's currently just placed between a few tissues inside a box. If ants appear, I will have to dispose of it immediately.
