This is a potted seedling of fresh Holy Basil, with which we have had many successful transactions every year. This basil is very resilient to the harshness of nature, so we hope you will enjoy growing it large by exposing it to sun, wind, and rain.

Tulsi Holy Basil is a superior medicinal herb that slows the aging process, boosts immunity, reduces stress, and has high antioxidant and antibacterial properties. In Ayurveda, it is considered an elixir of immortality, and is expected to strengthen the respiratory system, stabilize the autonomic nervous system, and promote digestion.

Its characteristic is that the underside of the leaves has a purplish hue, and it is a variety suited to the Japanese climate. It also has a refreshing, pleasant aroma and is said to have high medicinal efficacy among many varieties. It is delicious raw, but its flavor does not easily disappear when heated, and it has a mild taste, making it perfect for herbal tea and, highly recommended, exquisite Gapao Rice. [How to Grow]
Ready for immediate planting.
Prefers a sunny, well-ventilated location with well-draining, fluffy soil. It grows well with just a small amount of base fertilizer, but if you are concerned, you can periodically give diluted liquid fertilizer.
When planting, soak the planting hole with plenty of water and transplant the seedling without disturbing the soil. When the plant reaches about 20 cm in height, pinch off the tip to encourage side shoots, and repeat this process to make the plant larger. Please be careful about dryness in the summer.
