Pickup only - Japanese White Pine - Trunk height approx. 190cm, branch width approx. 130cm

This tree has been meticulously cared for and shaped into a danzukuri (tiered) style with a tamagashi (scattered jewels) aesthetic. It possesses a majestic presence that speaks of its history. Its shape has been refined by hanging weights, and it is over 50 years old.

This is an old tree that has undergone decades of repeated midori-tsumi (greenery pinching) and momiage (old leaf removal) each year to achieve its beautiful tama (shelves).

As Go-yo-matsu (Japanese White Pine) trees age to 40 or 50 years old and become old trees, their bark thickens and cracks into rough, scaly patterns, rivaling that of Kuromatsu (Japanese Black Pine).

The trunk is adorned with scale-like Umemokigoke (a lichen that appears as white mold), a characteristic often seen in pines that have grown for many years in clean air environments.

Please note that the buyer will be responsible for digging up and transporting the tree.
