Titre Glass Glue 250ml for Pate de Verre, Gemmail, and Painting

?This glass glue can be used for three main purposes: pate de verre, temporary assembly (jumail), and painting.

?For pate de verre, it can be mixed with glass powder or frit to achieve unique techniques, also known as powder fusing.

?For temporary assembly (jumail), it can be used to temporarily hold glass parts before firing. Use a small amount at points, not on surfaces. It will burn off during firing (complete combustion temperature: 510°C). While many adhesives can serve the purpose of temporary assembly, they often leave unsightly burn marks at high temperatures, which significantly detracts from the aesthetic of highly transparent materials like glass.
This glass glue is manufactured with glass techniques in mind. By temporarily holding parts, it prevents displacement of the artwork due to vibrations during firing and maintains the aesthetic quality of the finished piece.
This product has a lower viscosity than our Fusing Glue.

?For painting, it can be mixed in appropriate amounts with solvents as a substitute for gum arabic. This allows for smoother brush strokes and better adhesion of pigments to non-absorbent glass surfaces.

When used for pate de verre, it can be thought of as simply a larger volume version of Fusing Glue.
