This item was offered by my uncle, who was passionate about cooking, when he decided to part with it. He wanted it to go to someone who would use it rather than discard it.

?The left side of the bolster is engraved with my uncle's two-character surname.
?The blade is not rusted but shows signs of use. There appear to be minor chips.
