Wood Carving Bookends - Couple Statue - Central European Folk Art Style (German, Austrian) - Wooden Object
23.10 $
Description
These wooden bookends evoke the Central European region of Southern Germany and Austria.
The design features a couple wearing hats combined with a brick (stone) wall, creating the impression of a captured corner of a town.
The expressions and clothing of the figures are simplified representations of Bavarian or Austrian folk costumes, making them easy to incorporate into your interior decor.
They can be used as a pair of bookends, or displayed individually as decorative objects for a striking presence.
As these are vintage items, there are signs of age such as scuffs and small scratches on the wood, as well as paint peeling, but these do not detract from the overall aesthetic.
Please check the photos for the condition.
