Kiritsuke Knife, Double Bevel, Higashimoto Masahisa, Blue Steel
This is a kiritsuke knife, originally purchased at 1 shaku (approx. 30cm), with a double-edged steel blade. It has been shortened for easier use and fitted with a handle made of ebony.
The guard was also carefully selected and attached.
I loved its appearance and used it occasionally, but I no longer have a use for it, so I am listing it for sale.
As it is made of steel, the sharpness is guaranteed.
Honestly, perhaps because it's double-edged and easy to sharpen, I feel it's sharper than other steel knives.
It has already been sharpened and is ready for immediate use. However, as it is steel, it will rust if left after use, so I would be very happy if someone who understands maintenance were to use it.
I wanted to keep it in good condition, so I only used it for cutting cooked food, but I believe it can be used for a wide range of purposes.
