This is an extension table made of teak wood by Seirin Seisakusho, whose products were widely sold in top department stores during the 1970s and 80s.
It is part of the Tiffany series designed by Hiroshi Akutsu, and its dining table features a truly beautiful silhouette with a softly rounded tabletop.
Simply pull out one side of the main tabletop and insert the stored sub-tabletop to easily extend it.
The smooth sliding mechanism demonstrates the quality of its construction.
While there is no damage affecting its functionality, there are signs of age such as oil peeling and scratches on the tabletop, as well as multiple water rings. Please check the photos for details.
You can either use it as is, embracing the character of vintage furniture, or sand and refinish it yourself.
It's a very attractive piece of furniture that instantly enhances any space. While it may be a bit pricey, having it professionally refurbished would significantly improve its appearance.
As these items are becoming increasingly rare, please consider this opportunity.
