Natural wooden pestle, in shades of brown and beige, perfect for cooking as it allows for a strong grip when in use.
This is a pestle that was used by my grandmother and grandfather. It might have been purchased, or perhaps my DIY-loving grandfather made it for my grandmother.
My mother told me that because it's long, it allows for a good amount of force when using it.
I imagine it was used for cooking during events like the first tea ceremony of the year.
I would be happy if it could be passed on to someone who enjoys cooking.
