When placed inside items you don't want to rust, such as silver accessories, silver products, silver ingots, toolboxes, metal hot water bottles, and galvanized iron hot water bottles, it prevents rust through the action of volatile rust inhibitors.
I myself use it in my toolbox and in sealed zipper bags with silver products, and I put one sheet, cut into quarters, into a Maruka galvanized iron hot water bottle at the end of winter, and remove it before winter to use it. My galvanized iron hot water bottle has been used for about 5 years without holes.
⚠ When putting it into a hot water bottle, it's easier to take out with tweezers or eyebrow tweezers if you crumple the rustproof paper before inserting it.
