Kogama Bare Root Plant Wild Plant Aquatic Plant Small Cattail Last Listing of the Season
10.00 $
Description
This is a seedling of the cattail (Kogama).
It is from Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture.
Photos 1-3 show the item for sale, while photos 4 and 5 are for reference of the parent plant and its natural habitat.
It is a relative of the cattail, which is the origin of the word unagi no kabayaki (grilled eel). It is smaller than the common cattail, with its flower spikes being only about the size of a little finger. It is generally small and does not take up as much space as the common cattail. It grows naturally in rivers and wetlands, so it would be good to plant it in a biotope.
Shipping will be via fourth-class mail (plant and seed mail), with some soil removed, as a bare-root seedling without a pot. It will be shipped in recycled packaging such as cardboard boxes or used plastic bottles.
Thank you for looking.
