Igusa has a structure that is close to hollow inside, allowing it to store a large amount of air. This structure makes it resistant to heat, keeping the surface cool in the summer by preventing heat from entering from outside. Conversely, in winter, it allows you to stay warm and comfortable by preventing warm indoor air from escaping.

This is Fukuoka Prefecture's unique, heavy, and elegant weaving method, considered the highest grade of Hanao (Japanese rush mats).
Large weaves of approximately 3 cm and small weaves of approximately 1 cm alternate.
Using long, high-quality igusa and a large number of rush stalks results in a product with excellent elasticity, durability, and a pleasant texture.

* Dyeing soil and dyes are used on the surface of igusa products during manufacturing.
These are harmless to the human body, but may adhere to hands, feet, or clothing when the product is new.
Please be sure to dry wipe the surface before use.

* Igusa has some remaining root ends, which may appear whitish near the edges when woven. This is not due to sun exposure.
