BijoDam Super Hard Spatula Tip M Size Needle Type (Tip Only, 1 pc.)

17.16 $
Description
This listing is for the tip only of a super hard spatula. The shape and size are as shown in the title. This is for the spatula tip only.
Since it is only the tip, you will need a handle such as a pin vise as shown in the image, but it is excellent in cost performance and ease of maintenance.
(Pin vise, grinder, scale, etc. are not included, but a cap is included.)

There are mainly three shapes: bullet type, needle type, and an intermediate type (images show all three types for reference).
The one attached to the pin vise in the image is the intermediate type.
Wave HG Multi Handle HT323 costs around 500 yen.
(Please comment if you wish to combine purchases.)

The length before polishing is 30mm, and there are individual differences in the finished length and polished surface length.
The polished surface is about half, but the practical mirror surface is about 10mm from the tip.
If the polishing rod is scratched, it's useless.
Since I was not satisfied with commercially available products when I was doing fine work, I always polished and maintained them for use.

The M size is roughly cut to 2.35mm to match the shank diameter of a rotary tool, so it can be attached to a rotary tool.
Made of the highest quality domestic super hard material, it is difficult to scratch, making curved surface polishing challenging.
Also, because cutting and polishing super hard spatulas is difficult, many people cannot maintain them.
No matter how good the super hard material is, spatulas are not maintenance-free.
It is said that embedded material within casting defects scratches the spatula.
In the age of steel, we used to sharpen them all the time, like barbers sharpening razors.

As shown in this image, by rotating the buff vertically and the rotary tool horizontally, you can re-polish relatively quickly.
(The grinder in this image is one that also includes a rotary tool.)
Super hard material can also get scratches, but like precious metals, scratches are relatively easy to remove.

Since cutting and polishing super hard spatulas is difficult, they are mainly made into round shapes by rotating them, but the polishing is finished as shown here.
(Diamond paste is required for polishing.)

Many mass-produced jewelry pieces are polished by grinding and buffing with a rotary tool or buff, but
polishing with a spatula has the characteristic of not reducing the material and tightening the polished surface.
It is also used for small scratches that cannot be removed by grinding.
In the past, platinum was polished with a spatula.
It is also used for polishing Japanese swords.
Of course, re-polishing at our facility is also possible.
