This finger supporter features a special pad and cross-belt that apply pinpoint pressure to the CMC joint. It immobilizes the thumb in an extended position and applies targeted pressure to the epiphysis of the first metacarpal bone, thereby restricting thumb movement and supporting it in the correct position. The center of the cross-belt, used for figure-eight fixation, has a hook-and-loop fastener that can be freely adjusted to match each individual's symptoms and hand size, allowing for precise targeting of the area where pressure is desired.
Furthermore, the cross-belt is made of low-stretch material, enabling firm compression and fixation without losing the force applied to the epiphysis of the first metacarpal bone.
