A beautiful measuring cup with a porcelain silhouette. Originally manufactured as laboratory equipment, it is safe to use with boiling water, as well as in microwaves and dishwashers. Despite its minimalist silhouette, it is thick and has a substantial, stable feel, so it was used as a tool stand for a period. I think it would also make a lovely flower vase.
It is quite heavy. Please note that it may not be suitable for everyday use as a measuring cup.
Any unevenness in the glaze or fading of the printing are present from when it was new and are characteristic of this brand. I believe it is in beautiful condition with no noticeable damage.
